In 1987, the Baptist Bible Institute in Chinameca was founded with five students. The Institute is a pastoral training school located in rural Chinameca, El Salvador. To graduate, a student must:

       (1) Complete a three year course of study in Theology, Pastoral Ministries and Administration

       (2) Begin a new church in an area where no evangelical church exists.

There are literally hundreds of towns and villages in El Salvador without the presence of a Christian church.

   The purpose of Kendrick Ministries is to help plant a vibrant, Bible-believing, soul-winning church in every village and town in El Salvador.

   The Bible Institute is a strategic component in our church planting vision. You can not effectively establish strong churches without strong pastoral leadership.  The Institute is where these men confirm their call, solidify their beliefs and prepare their hearts for ministry. It is here where they receive divine direction as to where they will plant churches and their lives in ministry.

   The purpose of the Institute is not merely to offer these men a good Christian education, but to serve as a training station for future church planters in El Salvador. In other words, the Institute is not only a place of ministry, but also our base of ministry.   Institute graduates are now pastoring churches throughout Eastern and Central El Salvador!

    The Institute is governed by a six member Board of Trustees, all Salvadoran, except Bob, who serves as President. The Institute has its own Director, faculty and staff.
